Details
Early 20th Century oblong copper fish poacher/ stew pot from the famous Hyde Park Hotel. Due to a devastating fire in 1899 the famous Hyde Park Court hotel was closed. After an extensive renovation it was reopened in 1902 and renamed the Hyde Park Hotel with a new entrance at 66 Knightsbridge. It was London’s grandest hotel and was often frequented by members of the Royal Family so who knows who may have eaten a meal cooked in this very special copper pot which weighs over 11kg and has developed a wonderful pink hue that only the very best old copper develops.
