Reclaimed Parquet

Reclaimed parquet flooring reminds us of the school gym and church which for most of us are places we associate with our childhoods. It is hard to get a more traditional look than the herringbone pattern used to form most types of parquet flooring . Hard, dense timbers such as teak, mahogany, oak, beech and maple are commonly used in traditional Herringbone parquet flooring as these when finished appropriately, polish up to a fabulous hard wearing, easy to clean shine. Parquet flooring is also available in softwoods such as pine and pitch pine.
