Large 1930s copper serving platter from the Savoy Hotel in the Strand, London. This is a very rare tray which weighs 5.4 kg and luckily still retains its original tin coating. There are some markings on the underside of the tray which read “SAVOY HOTEL” “7” “REST” “1934” and some other ineligible markings from which “Matthews” is all that can be read (See images).
